Beginning With Benchmarks: Florida Automotive SEM Totals Since 2017
For our very first post, I believe a good place to start is our recent experience with SEM conversion benchmarks. This is not only because we promise automotive conversion benchmarks in our value proposition, but also because we need to earn our credibility, as well as your trust.
So without any further ado, the following is an overview of what comprised our Florida automotive conversions benchmark study.
About Our First Automotive Conversions Benchmark Report
Parameters: Automotive Intenders and Same-Make Owners
Date Range: January, 2017 through August, 2018
Geographic Area of Study: Florida
Paid Media Channels Used: SEM
Key Metrics: CTR, Conversion Rate and Cost Per Conversion
Notes: The below data is entirely first-hand performance reporting from SEM campaigns managed for automotive dealerships and other businesses within the automotive industry who target people shopping for, or currently driving, a vehicle. Google AdWords was used for reporting.
In a follow-up post, I will analyze and comment on key aspects of these results, and how your own automotive digital marketing may be able to achieve them. But for now, I’ll leave you with this comparative link to other, recent automotive SEM benchmarks, where the conversion rate is listed at 2.27%, and cost per conversion is listed at $63.
Of course, many variables can account for the differences in conversion rate and cost per conversion apparent when comparing our above data table to the above link. Hopefully, you’ll return for our next post when I describe those factors, and also what your dealership can do to achieve market-beating automotive SEM results.
